Baku:A Pakistani foreign affairs expert has claimed that the concept of a welfare state rooted in capitalism and liberalism is on a decline. Dr. Munawar Hussain, speaking to AZERTAC, pointed to various demonstrations across Europe as evidence of the collapse of the liberal world order.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Dr. Hussain attributed this decline to the foreign policies of these nations towards the global South. He highlighted ongoing inflation in the global economy, with Europe being no exception.

Dr. Hussain noted that recent protests in countries such as France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and Poland are a result of capitalistic policies. These policies, he suggested, have led to economic inflation and contributed to the breakdown of the liberal world order.
