Pakistani PM Sends Congratulatory Letter to Azerbaijani President on Independence Day

Baku: Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on the occasion of Independence Day.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from Prime Minister Sharif extended warm felicitations to President Aliyev, the government, and the people of Azerbaijan, highlighting the historic significance of the day as a testament to the resilience and spirit of the Azerbaijani nation. The letter also mentioned the shared celebrations from the previous year, which included President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey.

Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the strong and fraternal relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, noting the growth in strength and substance of these ties under President Aliyev's leadership. He expressed confidence in President Aliyev's guidance leading Azerbaijan towards further prosperity and success.

The letter also acknowledged the success of the World Urban Forum held in Baku and expressed anticipation for future meetings, including an invitation for President Aliyev to visit Pakistan.
