Pakistan’s Prime Minister Extends Independence Day Greetings to Azerbaijan

Islamabad: On the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his congratulations to the Azerbaijani government and its people. In his message, Prime Minister Sharif highlighted the enduring spirit and determination of Azerbaijan, acknowledging the nation's progress and stability.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his fond memories of celebrating the previous year's Independence Day alongside Azerbaijani President and Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He emphasized the significance of the relationship between Pakistan and Azerbaijan, noting the shared outlook on regional peace and mutual aspirations for a strengthened partnership.

Prime Minister Sharif expressed confidence in Azerbaijan's leadership under President Ilham Aliyev, believing it will lead the country towards greater prosperity. He also congratulated Azerbaijan on the successful conclusion of the World Urban Forum in Baku and expressed anticipation for a future meeting with President Aliyev. Additionally, he extended an invitation for an official visit to Pakistan, assuring a warm welcome.
