Baku: The annual International Transport Forum (ITF) consultations with international organizations are set to occur in a hybrid format at the Convention Center of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris on December 2. These consultations are crucial for advancing the international dialogue that significantly influences global transport policy.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan will be represented by Leyla Abdullayeva, the country’s Ambassador to France, who will outline the Azerbaijani Presidency’s ITF priorities for 2026. The ITF consultations have been held since 2007, with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the transport sector by bringing together over 60 international, intergovernmental, and non-governmental organizations from around the world.

The 2026 ITF Summit will focus on the theme ‘Funding Resilient Transport,’ while the 2027 Summit will explore ‘Governing Resilient Transport.’ Representatives from international and intergovernmental organizations, financial institutions, industry associations, regulators, research centers, and trade unions are expected to participate in these discussions.

Key figures addressing the event include Young Tae Kim, ITF Secretary General, Mary Crass, Head of Institutional Relations and Summit of the ITF, and Leyla Abdullayeva, Azerbaijani Ambassador to France. The ITF Secretariat will present the organization’s research on sustainable transport and explore opportunities for collaboration with the event participants.
