Shusha: Participants of the international scientific-practical conference dedicated to the prominent Azerbaijani scholar, theologian, and philosopher Sheikh Seyyid Yahya Bakuvi Shirvani visited the city of Shusha as part of their visit program to Karabakh, APA's Karabakh bureau reports. The delegation first visited Jidir Duzu, where they were briefed about the historical and cultural significance of the area. The participants admired the scenic views from this vantage point, which holds great importance in Azerbaijani history.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the tour continued with a visit to the Yukhari Govhar Agha Mosque. Here, the attendees were informed about the vandalism that had taken place against Shusha's historical and cultural heritage during the period of occupation. They also learned about the ongoing restoration and reconstruction efforts in the city. It was highlighted that Shusha once boasted 17 neighborhoods, each featuring a mosque, bathhouse, and spring. Since the city's liberation from occupation, significant restoration work has been completed on the Yukhari and Ashaghi Govhar Agha, Saatli, Mamayi, and Chol Gala mosques, and construction of the New Shusha Mosque is currently underway.
