Aghdam: Participants of the First International Scientific-Practical Conference dedicated to prominent Azerbaijani thinker and scholar Sheikh Sayyid Yahya Bakuvi Shirvani visited the Alley of Martyrs in the city of Aghdam. This visit was part of the 7th Meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Boards of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the participants were informed about the history of the Alley of Martyrs. The site serves as the burial place for Azerbaijani heroes who lost their lives during the First Garabagh War, as well as some residents of the city who were killed during the Khojaly genocide. The graves at this site were subjected to vandalism during the occupation.

The conference participants took a moment to recite prayers for the souls of the martyrs, paying their respects to those who sacrificed their lives.
