PASHA Holding Enhances Agritourism Opportunities for Azerbaijani Farmers

Baku:PASHA Holding continues to support the 'S?h?rd?n K?nd?' project, which aims to develop agritourism in Azerbaijan and provide expanded opportunities for farmers in regional areas. The project is implemented by Agrarian Procurement and Supply OJSC under the Ministry of Agriculture, with the backing of PASHA Holding. It seeks to promote rural tourism, create additional income sources for farmers, and facilitate the direct sale of locally produced goods.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, since the project's inception in 2019, 227 farms have been evaluated, with 500 farmers and farm representatives participating in agritourism training programs. Additionally, repair, improvement, and marketing activities have been conducted at 35 farms.

Farmers involved in the project receive training in agritourism fundamentals, hospitality, and marketing, along with technical and equipment support to boost the tourism potential of their farms. The initiative also organizes familiarization tours for tourism company representatives to enhance the visibility of agritourism farms and increase tourist visits.

In 2026, opening ceremonies were held for several supported farms, including 'Bal§i S?yavus' and 'Leyn? Co. Sitrus' in Lankaran, and 'Kandora' and 'Flowerisma' in Ismayilli, which received project support in 2025.

The 'S?h?rd?n K?nd?' project not only enhances farmers' skills but also helps transform farms into appealing tourist destinations while offering products directly to consumers. This initiative strengthens the link between agriculture and tourism in the regions, thereby expanding local economic opportunities.
