Pashinyan Announces Railway Opening with Azerbaijan Under TRIPP Project

Yerevan: Armenia is entering a new phase of economic development, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a meeting with entrepreneurs today, Armenpress reports. He noted that this is linked to the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, significant developments are expected in the near future, mainly related to the launch of the TRIPP project. Pashinyan emphasized that TRIPP is important for fully lifting Armenia's blockade. He stated that Armenia can already be considered to have overcome the blockade, as cargo transportation to Armenia via railway through Azerbaijani territory is possible and is being carried out. Additionally, exports via railway through Georgian territory remain feasible.

Pashinyan further explained that the railway with Azerbaijan will initially be opened within the framework of the TRIPP project. He highlighted the importance of this development, noting that the political agreement ensures that this railway will remain open permanently, providing a reliable route for both imports and exports.
