Shusha: Patriotic War participant Kamil Duniyev has emphasized the importance of preserving historical sites in Shusha, particularly in the Jidir Plain, and warned against tourists writing inscriptions on rocks or causing damage. Duniyev, a reserve lieutenant colonel in the Armed Forces who participated in the 44-day Patriotic War and suffered the loss of his leg during combat, shared his concerns with APA's Karabakh bureau.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Duniyev expressed that such acts of vandalism are unacceptable. He highlighted that multiple efforts have been made to prevent these incidents, including imposing fines and providing explanations to offenders.

Duniyev stressed the ongoing issue of defacement and pollution in the liberated territories, stating that writing on stones and rocks, particularly in areas where martyrs have fallen and which serve as historical monuments, constitutes a significant violation. He called for universal condemnation of such actions, not just from veterans, martyrs' families, and fighters, but from the entire community.
