Baku: "Relations between Slovakia and Azerbaijan are not limited to the economic and diplomatic spheres," President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini stated during a joint press conference with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Pellegrini emphasized that the ties between the two nations extend beyond mere economic and diplomatic interactions. He noted a steady increase in mutual visits by citizens from both countries, highlighting a growing relationship. The Slovak President also announced the initiation of direct flights between the two nations, set to begin in October 2026. This initiative, originally discussed during President Aliyev's visit to Bratislava, is anticipated to further connect the countries, enhance educational and personal exchanges, and facilitate business activities.
