Shamakhi: On September 17, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the inauguration of the Pirgulu Park hotel in Shamakhi.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the event marked a significant moment in the region's development as Fariz Abbaszade from Moderngroup LLC provided a detailed briefing on the hotel's facilities to the distinguished guests.

The hotel, situated in the Pirgulu settlement, is strategically located near the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, spanning an area of 16 hectares. It consists of two hotel buildings with a total capacity of 360 beds. One building accommodates 188 beds and the other 172 beds, with the facility offering 175 rooms of different categories and two cottages, allowing for a total of 366 guests at any given time. The complex is equipped with restaurants, cafes, and a 160-seat hall for meetings and training sessions. Additionally, a congress building with a 600-person capacity, a children's entertainment center, and an amphitheater have been incorporated into the hotel's grounds.

The development of the Pirgulu Park hotel aligns with Azerbaijan's ongoing efforts to enhance its tourism sector. The country's focus on its natural resources, historical and cultural heritage, and diverse climate, coupled with state-level initiatives, continues to position Azerbaijan as a sought-after destination for global tourists.
