Planning Conference Held for ‘Power of Unity-2026’ Joint Military Exercise in Azerbaijan


Azerbaijan: A planning conference for the “Power of Unity-2026” Joint Military Exercise was held in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Defense told AZERTAC.



According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the conference took place at the Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum under the National Defense University and saw participation from delegations representing Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan. The event was an important step towards enhancing military cooperation among the involved nations.



Lieutenant General Azer Aliyev, in welcoming the participants, emphasized the growing military collaboration between the countries. He outlined that the key goals of the “Power of Unity-2026” exercise include expanding cooperation among the armed forces, improving the practical skills of military personnel, facilitating the exchange of operational experience, and contributing to sustainable peace and security.



The participants were briefed extensively on the exercise’s objectives, the scenario to be followed, and the combat training activities planned. In addition to the briefings, the delegations conducted a reconnaissance of the designated exercise area and finalized the planned training activities for the upcoming exercise.



The conference concluded with all participating countries signing the final protocol and engaging in a comprehensive exchange of views on other mutual interests, further solidifying the spirit of cooperation and unity among the nations involved.
