PM Ali Asadov: Azerbaijan is Recognized as a Reliable Contributor to Energy Security

Baku: Azerbaijan is recognized as a country that makes a reliable contribution to ensuring energy security, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov at the meeting of prime ministers and vice presidents of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Baku, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Prime Minister Asadov highlighted the strategic role of Azerbaijan in the energy sector. He emphasized that Azerbaijan has long been acknowledged for its significant contributions to energy security. The nation has developed extensive experience in managing traditional energy resources and has established robust infrastructure, paving the way for new collaborative opportunities. Azerbaijan currently supplies gas to 16 countries, positioning it as the leading global exporter of gas via pipelines.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Asadov underscored the comprehensive nature of Azerbaijan's energy policy, which extends beyond hydrocarbon resources. He noted that the country is actively advancing a green energy agenda, focusing on the development of renewable energy sources. This initiative aims to harness the renewable energy potential of Azerbaijan, along with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, to strengthen interregional connections. He also expressed support for Kyrgyzstan's intention to participate in exporting green energy to Europe, marking a significant step in regional cooperation.
