Baku: Karol Nawrocki, President of the Republic of Poland, sent a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on the occasion of Azerbaijan's Independence Day, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from President Nawrocki expressed sincere wishes for success and prosperity to Azerbaijan, its citizens, and President Aliyev personally. The Polish President highlighted the traditionally friendly ties and growing cooperation between Poland and Azerbaijan, emphasizing Poland's openness to further developing these relations in both bilateral and international formats, including within the European Union.
President Nawrocki acknowledged Azerbaijan as an important partner for Poland in the South Caucasus region. He noted that, given significant geopolitical changes globally, the cooperation between the two countries might gain even more significance. He further expressed his interest in hosting President Aliyev in Warsaw at a mutually convenient time.
The letter concluded with President Nawrocki extending congratulations to all Azerbaijani citizens on their National Day and wishing for the continued success of Azerbaijan in its development, sovereignty strengthening, and fostering good-neighborly relations in the region.
