Baku: MLS club Chicago Fire has officially announced the signing of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski. The contract, which extends until the end of the 2027/28 season, marks the latest chapter in Lewandowski's illustrious football career. According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the 37-year-old forward, known for his prolific goal-scoring record, has made the move to North America's Major League Soccer (MLS) after a successful stint with Barcelona. During his time with the Catalan club, Lewandowski secured an impressive tally of three Spanish league titles, three Spanish Super Cups, and one Spanish Cup. Throughout his career, Lewandowski has played for some of Europe's most prestigious clubs. His tenure at Borussia Dortmund from 2010 to 2014 was marked by remarkable achievements, followed by an eight-year spell at Bayern Munich from 2014 to 2022. At Bayern, he amassed an extraordinary collection of trophies, including eight German championships, three German Cups, a Champions League title, and a UEFA Super Cup . On the international stage, Lewandowski has been a standout performer for the Polish national team, earning 165 caps and scoring 89 goals, making him Poland's all-time leading scorer.
