Baku: Pope Leo XIV has sent a congratulatory letter to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Independence Day, APA reports. In his message, Pope Leo XIV extended his best wishes for solidarity and prosperity to both President Aliyev and the citizens of Azerbaijan.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter emphasized a prayer for divine guidance in the continued development of Azerbaijani society. Pope Leo XIV expressed hopes that the people of Azerbaijan will remain advocates of peace, work for the common good, uphold human dignity, and offer assistance to those in need.

The letter concluded with the Pope invoking divine blessings upon President Aliyev, public officials, and all citizens of Azerbaijan.
