Possibilities of Establishing Azerbaijan-Hungary Agricultural University Discussed

Baku: Azerbaijan's Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with Tam¡s Torma, the Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan, to discuss potential collaborations in the agricultural sector.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Mammadov praised the strong relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary, highlighting their cooperation within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Both parties expressed a keen interest in expanding collaboration in agriculture.

The discussions centered on strengthening legal frameworks, increasing trade turnover in agricultural and food products, and facilitating the transfer of advanced technologies. A significant focus was on the partnership between the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University and the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences. They explored the possibility of establishing the Azerbaijan-Hungary Agricultural University, which would be a collaborative effort between the two institutions, and discussed implementing exchange programs and sharing experiences in scientific research and agricultural education.

A broad exchange of views on other mutual interests was also conducted during the meeting.
