Baku: The amount of precipitation in the Greater Caucasus and Lesser Caucasus is 2-3 times higher than normal, Deputy Head of the National Hydrometeorology Service of Azerbaijan Gulnara Abbasova told journalists regarding the current situation.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Abbasova highlighted the impact of climate change as a contributing factor to the increased rainfall. She further noted that heavy rainfall is also occurring in Spain, Trkiye, southern Russia, and other countries.
