Strong Wind and Rain Knock Down 55 Trees in Baku


Baku: Yesterday evening, heavy rain accompanied by strong winds began in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula, leading city municipal services to switch to an intensified work regime, the Baku City Landscaping and Beautification Union told APA.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, as of 10:00 AM today, 55 trees had fallen in the city, and over 15 tree branches were broken due to the strong winds. The union’s staff has removed the fallen trees, trimmed the damaged ones, and cleaned the area.



Currently, the union’s mobile teams continue working in various areas of the city under heightened alert.
