Baku: We consider 2025 to be a very positive year in the context of Azerbaijan-U.S. relations, said Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, at a press conference summarizing the results of the year, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister noted that within a short period after the start of Donald Trump's presidency, a fundamental shift occurred and very serious changes took place in Azerbaijan-U.S. relations. A memorandum of understanding was signed on August 8 to establish a Working Group with specific objectives. This group's formation is related to the preparation of a Strategic Partnership Charter between the United States of America and Azerbaijan. The areas to be covered in this document have been clearly defined, and intensive work has been carried out over recent months for this purpose.

Numerous bilateral meetings have been held on specific areas and topics. The minister expressed confidence that the final text is close to completion and will soon be presented to the leaders as an agreed draft document. This document is expected to lay the foundation for promising and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. The significant amount of work accomplished during the first year of Donald Trump's presidency has set a positive trajectory for the next three years in relations between the United States and Azerbaijan.

The development of relations with Azerbaijan is considered beneficial for both countries. From this perspective, no objective conditions are foreseen to alter this course in the future. The expectation is for strong momentum in bilateral cooperation with the United States in the coming years.
