Preparation of State Baku Transport Program in Progress


Baku: President Ilham Aliyev highlighted ongoing efforts to enhance Baku’s transportation infrastructure during a recent meeting dedicated to transportation issues. He emphasized the significance of past projects that have transformed the city’s transport landscape over the past 15 years, including the introduction of new metro stations and the construction of road junctions, tunnels, bridges, and roads. The President warned that without these developments, Baku’s transport system would face severe congestion today.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev announced plans for a new major transportation program, underscoring its potential benefits. He disclosed that he had instructed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport to prepare a state program, and that work on this initiative has been underway for several months. The new program aims to further improve Baku’s transport infrastructure to meet the growing demands of the city’s population and economy.
