Preparations Underway for Official OTS Summit in Azerbaijan

Baku: Preparations are underway for the upcoming official summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), which is scheduled to take place in Azerbaijan in October.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced this development to journalists, highlighting the significance of the event for Azerbaijan. He stated that the OTS is a pivotal international organization for the country, emphasizing Azerbaijan’s active participation and commitment to the organization.

Minister Bayramov further elaborated on the tradition of holding two summits annually-one informal and one official. He noted that the informal summit is planned to be held in Hungary in May, while the official summit is set for October in Azerbaijan. Last year, the informal summit took place in Shusha, Azerbaijan, where the historic Garabagh Declaration was adopted.

The ongoing preparations reflect Azerbaijan’s dedication to the OTS, which President Ilham Aliyev regards as a family organization for the nation. The country is actively engaging in the necessary arrangements to ensure the successful hosting of the event.
