Baku:President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Ramzan Kadyrov, Head of the Chechen Republic of the Russian Federation, visited Baku White City.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Ruslan Sadikhov, Executive Director of the Baku White City project, provided Ramzan Kadyrov with a briefing on the facilities and amenities available in the area.

The area, formerly known as the 'Black City,' underwent a significant environmental transformation at the initiative of President Aliyev. The region, previously polluted by over 150 years of oil industry waste, was converted into a modern residential district featuring wide streets, green spaces, and modern international sculptures.

Baku White City, launched on December 24, 2011, with the participation of President Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, is recognized as a prominent example of modern urban planning. The project emphasizes environmental sustainability and smart-city planning principles.
