Jabrayil:President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the opening of a non-alcoholic beverage production facility operated by Sunbeverage LLC in the Jabrayil district.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, Tahir Gozel, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Azersun Holding, provided information to the head of state and the First Lady regarding the facility.

The facility, established by Azersun Holding in the East Zangezur Economic Region, is set to produce sparkling and still water, iced teas, fruit-infused beverages, as well as vitamin-enriched and low-calorie drinks. Spanning an area of 10 hectares, it boasts an annual production capacity of 150,000 tons, with products aimed at both domestic and international markets. The facility is equipped with modern Italian-manufactured equipment, facilitating processes such as water purification, syrup preparation, blending, carbonation, and packaging.

The total cost of the project is AZN 70 million. Funding includes private investment, bank loans, and a concessional loan of AZN 5 million from the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy. An additional AZN 5 million loan is supported through a guarantee and interest rate subsidy mechanism. The enterprise will generate 300 permanent jobs.

This initiative is expected to bolster the food industry in the East Zangezur Economic Region and play a significant role in enhancing local employment opportunities. Additionally, the project aims to expand the country's export potential.
