Baku: As leaders, we must be bold in creating better conditions, President Ilham Aliyev emphasized during his speech at the opening ceremony of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the critical role of urban development, particularly in capital cities. He drew a parallel between urban planning and the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, a unique city circuit race in Baku. The President noted that just as drivers must be both bold and cautious while navigating the narrow seven-meter-wide streets near the ancient city wall at high speeds, leaders must also adopt a similar approach when shaping development agendas. He stressed the need for boldness in decision-making to create better conditions for urban growth and sustainability.
