Baku: Syrian and Rwandan dignitaries, attending the 13th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13), visited the 'ASAN Khidmet' center in Baku. The delegation included the Syrian Minister of Public Works and Housing, the Governor of Damascus, and the Mayor of Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Ulvi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, provided a comprehensive overview of the services offered by the 'ASAN Khidmet' Centers. These centers were established as an initiative by President Ilham Aliyev and have become a model of innovative public service solutions. The participants were informed that the ASAN model is now an intellectual brand exported to over 30 countries.
The delegation learned that the United Nations recognizes the 'ASAN Khidmet' concept as Azerbaijan's international brand and considers it a leading model, promoting it across four continents. There was particular interest from the Syrian side in adopting the ASAN service model in Syria, with a request for Azerbaijan's support in the implementation process.
Discussions with the Rwandan delegation highlighted the importance of establishing a cooperative framework through a 'Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation.' This agreement would be between the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations and the Rwanda Development Board to develop mechanisms for delivering public services.
The visitors also explored additional innovations and entities, including the 'INNOLAND' Incubation and Acceleration Center, Mobile ASAN Khidmet, the 'ABAD' Public Legal Entity, and the 'Bilim Baku' Center, gaining insights into the broader scope of Azerbaijan's public service advancements.
