Baku: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan recently addressed the persistent violations of international law during a meeting with security officials from member states of the Organization of Turkic States, as reported by APA. The meeting, held on September 17, served as a platform for Aliyev to express his discontent with the inefficiencies of international mechanisms in resolving territorial disputes.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted the struggles Azerbaijan faced for 30 years in trying to reclaim its territories. He emphasized that if the UN system and other international organizations had functioned effectively, Azerbaijan would not have needed to resort to military action to liberate its lands. Aliyev pointed out that the inefficacy of these bodies resulted in significant human loss, a situation that could have been avoided with proper intervention.
