BAKU — During a joint press conference, President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan highlighted the historic importance of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s state visit, describing it as a milestone in the countries’ relations.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev stated, “Undoubtedly, this visit is of a historic nature and will make a significant contribution to strengthening the friendly and allied relations between our countries.” The visit, characterized by various formal and informal engagements, is seen as a significant step in further cementing the cooperative ties between Azerbaijan and Russia, with implications for regional stability and bilateral achievements.
