Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has expressed optimism about the potential for collaboration between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, particularly in the defense industry. During a joint press statement with To Lam, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Aliyev highlighted the readiness of the Azerbaijani side to invest in renewable energy sources in Vietnam, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that the defense industry presents significant opportunities for cooperation. Both Azerbaijan and Vietnam have developed capabilities in this sector, and by combining their efforts, establishing joint enterprises, and pursuing mutual cooperation, the two nations could achieve substantial benefits.

The Azerbaijani leader also pointed out the positive developments in joint activities within international organizations, indicating that these efforts are very encouraging and add to the prospects of bilateral cooperation.
