Baku: “We are pleased with the dynamic and comprehensive development of interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Italy, founded on friendship, mutual respect, and trust,” President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed in a congratulatory letter to Italian President Sergio Mattarella on the occasion of the Republic Day.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev elaborated on the multifaceted cooperation between the two nations, noting that they effectively collaborate across various sectors such as economy, trade, energy, investment, defense, humanitarian affairs, science, and education. He highlighted that the partnership between Azerbaijan and Italy is growing richer each year with new initiatives and content.

President Aliyev underscored the importance Azerbaijan places on its relationship with Italy, describing it as a reliable strategic partner. He pointed out that the strong political ties, mutual understanding at the highest level, and an ongoing active dialogue form a robust foundation for their cooperation.
