President Ilham Aliyev Highlights Azerbaijan’s Commitment to Green Energy Development

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of developing the liberated territories into a ‘green energy’ zone as a central component of Azerbaijan’s sustainable energy strategy. “Strengthening energy security, diversifying energy supply, and sustainable development in green energy are still among the top priorities of our country today,” stated Aliyev during his address to participants of the Baku Energy Week. He noted that the progress in this area bolsters Azerbaijan’s standing as a reliable partner in the global energy market and highlighted the international participation in the event, with companies from eighty countries, as a testament to Azerbaijan’s role in energy cooperation.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev reiterated that the focus on transforming liberated territories into a green energy hub is pivotal for the country’s energy strategy. The President expressed confidence that Azerbaijan’s strategic approaches offer vast opportunities for sustainable development in the energy sector.
