President Aliyev Honors Turkish Heroes on July 15 Coup Attempt Anniversary

Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has sent a condolence letter to the President of the Republic of Trkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on the anniversary of the July 15, 2016 coup attempt, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the letter from President Aliyev expressed deep respect for the martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the thwarting of the coup attempt in Trkiye. He conveyed his deepest condolences to the families of the fallen and to the people of Trkiye. Aliyev highlighted the historical significance of the event, marking it as both tragic and honorable, emphasizing the role of the Turkish people in defending their homeland against threats to statehood and democracy.

The letter praised the decisive leadership of President Erdogan and the unity of the Turkish people, which were crucial in overcoming the challenges of that night.
