President Aliyev Inaugurates First Phase of Kangarli Village in Aghdam District


Aghdam: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the first phase of Kangarli village in the Aghdam district. The event marked a significant milestone in the ongoing reconstruction efforts in the region.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Emin Huseynov, the Special Representative of the President in the Aghdam, Fuzuli, and Khojavend districts, provided a briefing on the developments in the area. The Aghdam district, like other liberated territories, is undergoing extensive construction work, with Kangarli village being a prominent project. The village, located six kilometers from the city center, had its foundation laid by President Aliyev on October 4, 2022.



Kangarli village is set to accommodate 2,544 residents over an area exceeding 177 hectares. The development plan includes the construction of 632 individual houses in two phases. The village is equipped with necessary infrastructure to support employment and includes facilities for economic, educational, social, cultural, and public purposes. Essential services such as internal roads, electricity, communication, water lines, and a gas supply have been established.



During the inauguration, President Aliyev reviewed the newly built facilities, which include a multifunctional administrative building for local executive authorities, a community club center, a secondary school, a nursery-kindergarten, and individual houses. The project reflects the commitment to developing modern living conditions in the region.
