The visit included meetings with residents of both Khojavend town and Khojavend village, where the President engaged in discussions with the returning citizens.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his congratulations to the residents on their return to the Garabagh region after years of displacement. He acknowledged the hardships faced by internally displaced persons and praised their resilience. The President emphasized the liberation of Khojavend as part of the broader victory achieved during the Patriotic War, highlighting the restoration of justice and sovereignty over Azerbaijani territories.
President Aliyev assured the residents that the challenging times were now behind them, with a strong and secure state in place. He highlighted Azerbaijan's unprecedented achievements over the past decades and underscored the importance of the current reconstruction phase. The President noted that infrastructure projects, including electricity, gas, water, roads, and bridges, have been prioritized, with a shift now towards the construction and restoration of residential houses.
