President Aliyev Proposes Joint Defense and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing with Pakistan


Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has proposed the commencement of joint manufacturing initiatives with Pakistan, focusing on the defense and pharmaceutical sectors. Speaking at the Azerbaijan-Pakistan business forum, President Aliyev highlighted the ongoing cooperation between the two nations in the defense industry. “We discussed today the excellent cooperation in the defense industry area. We suggested that we can start working on joint manufacturing of defense equipment. There is significant potential for that,” he stated.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev also acknowledged Pakistan’s advancements in the pharmaceutical industry. He noted that over 90 items from the Pakistani pharmaceutical sector have already been registered in Azerbaijan. The President suggested that both countries explore opportunities for joint manufacturing of pharmaceutical products in Azerbaijan, pointing out the potential for collaboration in this and other areas.
