Azerishiq OJSC Expands Role to Supply Electricity in Nakhchivan


Baku: “Azerishiq” Open Joint-Stock Company has been designated as the responsible entity for supplying electricity to consumers in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The expansion of its areas of activity is reflected in an amendment to the decision by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which approved the Charter and structure of “Azerishiq” OJSC.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, “Azerishiq” OJSC will ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient supply of electricity in Nakhchivan by purchasing electricity and implementing new technologies. The company is tasked with modernizing the material and technical base and making efficient use of it, along with other developmental activities.



The decision outlines that the main objectives of “Azerishiq” OJSC include ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient electricity supply to consumers throughout the Republic of Azerbaijan, excluding the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. This will be achieved by purchasing electricity, implementing new technologies, modernizing infrastructure, and efficient resource utilization.
