President Identifies Clean Environment and “Green Growth” as Key National Priority

Baku: The goal of a clean environment and a 'green growth' country has been identified as one of the five key national priorities for Azerbaijan's socio-economic development through 2030, President Ilham Aliyev announced during his address to participants at an event dedicated to World Environment Day (WED). The event, held in Baku, was organized in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev emphasized that targeted efforts are being made to enhance green spaces and forest areas, ensure the efficient use of water resources, and promote sustainable energy sources. In addition, there is a focus on establishing modern infrastructure for effective waste management. These initiatives are part of the broader strategy to achieve the ambitious goal of clean environment and green growth, aligning with Azerbaijan's national priorities for the next decade.
