Jabrayil: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva inspected the construction of the Jabrayil District Central Hospital, a 150-bed medical facility. The visit took place on May 9 and highlighted the ongoing development in the region.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Minister of Health, Teymur Musayev, provided a briefing to the President and First Lady on the current progress and the subsequent phases of the hospital's construction. The project, which began with the laying of its foundation stone by President Aliyev in 2021, is progressing on a site that spans nearly 5 hectares.
The hospital will feature comprehensive departments such as therapy, surgery, pediatrics, maternity, infectious diseases, anesthesiology-intensive care, and hemodialysis. Additional facilities will include a polyclinic, radiology and functional diagnostics units, as well as departments for physiotherapy and medical rehabilitation. A clinical diagnostic laboratory is also part of the plan. Current construction efforts are focused on the main building and several key blocks, including those for infectious diseases, hemodialysis, and the polyclinic, alongside the emergency medical station and the Jabrayil District Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology.
