Baku: President Ilham Aliyev, along with First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, paid tribute to Azerbaijanis who died for the Victory over fascism. The visit coincides with the 81st anniversary of this historic event, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the President and First Lady visited the grave of Major General of Tank Troops Hazi Aslanov. Aslanov was recognized twice as a Hero of the Soviet Union for his service. The head of state and the First Lady laid flowers at Aslanov's monument, commemorating his contributions and honoring all Azerbaijanis who lost their lives during the war.
