Baku: On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the Victory in the Patriotic War, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the Alley of Martyrs. The visit was marked by a solemn tribute to the memory of the nation’s heroic sons who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s freedom, independence, and territorial integrity.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Ilham Aliyev placed a wreath in front of the Eternal Flame monument, a gesture symbolizing respect and remembrance for those who perished. The visit also included viewing a panorama of Baku, which was in preparation for the military parade dedicated to the Victory in the Patriotic War.
