Baku: On July 14, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev held an expanded meeting with President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini in Shusha, APA reports. President Aliyev extended a warm welcome to the Slovak delegation, highlighting the ongoing active dialogue between the two nations. He expressed gratitude for the hospitality received during his visit to Slovakia and noted the importance of the large delegation accompanying President Pellegrini. The Azerbaijani leader emphasized the significance of the partnership, particularly in the context of reconstruction efforts in Garabagh.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed optimism that the visit would further strengthen the bilateral relationship. He underscored the involvement of Slovak specialists in Garabagh's reconstruction as crucial, citing the development of a smart village by a Slovak company as a testament to their collaboration. The meeting aimed at addressing various aspects of the bilateral agenda and exploring avenues for further progress.

President of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini conveyed his appreciation for the invitation and the choice of Shusha as the meeting venue. He recalled President Aliyev's historical visit to Bratislava, acknowledging the diplomatic significance. President Pellegrini expressed admiration for the development projects in Garabagh and emphasized Slovakia's pride in participating in these initiatives.
