New york: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, met with Khush Choksy, the Senior Vice President of the US Chamber of Commerce, in New York. During their meeting, they acknowledged that the relationship between Azerbaijan and the United States has evolved into a strategic partnership, presenting significant opportunities for enhancing economic and trade relations.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, discussions extended to cooperation in various sectors, including energy, connectivity, and artificial intelligence, following the Memorandum of Understanding on establishing a Strategic Working Group. This group is tasked with preparing a Charter on Strategic Partnership between Azerbaijan and the United States.
Both parties highlighted the importance of creating direct contacts between the business communities of the two nations and organizing reciprocal visits by business delegations. They recognized the substantial potential for developing cooperation in the tourism sector as well.
Khush Choksy expressed his plan to visit Azerbaijan soon with a large delegation to explore business opportunities further.
