President Ilham Aliyev Appoints New Officials to Key Regional Positions

Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, recently met with Jeyhun Jalilov, the newly appointed Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, along with heads of several district executive authorities.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the appointments include Elkhan Ibrahimov as Head of the Executive Authority of Nasimi District of Baku city, Natig Agayev as Head of Balakan District, Orkhan Mursalov as Head of Goychay District, Elvin Pashayev as Head of Gakh District, Vugar Novruzov as Head of Goygol District, and Elshan Hasanli as Head of Kurdamir District.

During the meeting, President Aliyev emphasized the significant responsibilities accompanying these roles and expressed confidence in the newly appointed officials’ abilities to fulfill their duties. He stressed the importance of humility, accountability, and a commitment to serving the people, warning against corruption and illegal activities. President Aliyev highlighted the progress in infrastructure projects across Azerbaijan, noting improvements in electricity, highways, and social infrastructure, and called for continued efforts to resolve remaining regional issues with a focus on social justice.

The President also addressed employment concerns, urging local leaders to create job opportunities and support businesses to reduce migration to urban areas. He underscored the importance of environmental protection, stating that illegal activities causing environmental harm must be stopped.

The newly appointed officials expressed their gratitude for the trust placed in them and pledged to fulfill their responsibilities with dedication. They assured President Aliyev of their commitment to implementing his instructions and contributing to the development of their respective regions.

President Aliyev concluded the meeting by reiterating his expectations and wishing the officials success in their new roles.
