Aghdam: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the Kangarli village secondary school in Aghdam district. Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev provided the President with a briefing on the school’s facilities during the event.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the newly opened school has a capacity of 484 students and includes 30 classrooms. The school is designed to meet modern educational standards and is outfitted with necessary teaching materials. The facility also houses biology, chemistry, and physics laboratories, a computer science room, pre-conscription military preparation classrooms, a library, an assembly hall, a sports hall, and a canteen.
The school grounds feature a sports field that is available not only to students but also to local villagers after school hours. Additional play and recreation areas, as well as landscaped greenery, contribute to an enhanced environment. To support its energy needs, solar panels have been installed on the roofs of several non-residential buildings, including the school.
The inauguration of this school is part of a broader initiative led by President Aliyev to restore and reconstruct the educational infrastructure in territories liberated from Armenian occupation. Over nearly 30 years of conflict, these regions suffered extensive damage, including the destruction of educational facilities. The Kangarli secondary school stands as a testament to Azerbaijan’s commitment to modernize and innovate in the field of education within these rejuvenated areas.
