Baku: President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to award several employees of the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the order includes various distinctions for contributions to the development of the tax system. One employee received the 'Progress' medal, nine individuals were honored with the 1st-degree 'For Distinction in Service in Tax Authorities' award, and two employees received the 3rd-degree award in the same category.

In a separate presidential order, Orkhan Nazarli, Head of the State Tax Service, was awarded the higher special rank of '2nd-degree State Tax Service Advisor.' Additionally, Nijat Imanov, Head of the Tax Policy Department, Abbas Ismayilov, Head of the Tax Audit Department, and Samad Valiyev, Head of the 2nd Territorial Tax Department, were conferred the rank of '3rd-degree State Tax Service Advisor.'
