Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have reached an agreement to maintain a regular dialogue and jointly coordinate their transport policies with neighboring countries, announced President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. This announcement was made during a joint statement with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions focused on the transport and logistics sector, looking at current capacities and future projects. These efforts aim to create a more extensive and varied transport infrastructure in Central Asia, with routes extending across the Caspian to Azerbaijan and further westward.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of continuing to coordinate projects not just bilaterally, to ensure infrastructures are ready for large volumes of cargo, but also multilaterally. This involves engaging in regular dialogue and collaborative work on transport policy coordination with neighboring countries.
