Tashkent: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan arrived in Uzbekistan for a state visit. The arrival took place on August 23 at Tashkent-Khumo International Airport, where a guard of honor was present to mark the occasion.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, President Aliyev was accompanied by First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva. The President and First Lady were greeted by Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and First Lady Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva.
