Baku: President Ilham Aliyev congratulated the people of Azerbaijan and all compatriots living outside the borders on the occasion of the holy Eid al-Adha.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, in his congratulatory message, the head of state highlighted that during Eid al-Adha, a significant event symbolizing Islam's revelation to humanity as the final divine religion, millions of Muslims gather for the Hajj pilgrimage, experiencing unity, equality, and readiness for sacrifice in the name of noble ideals.
The President emphasized that in Azerbaijan, sacrificial ceremonies celebrated as a nationwide holiday enhance feelings of solidarity, humanism, and compassion among people, transforming into a triumph of benevolence and adherence to national and moral values within society.
In his message, President Ilham Aliyev commemorated the memory of martyrs with gratitude and expressed prayers for the peace and tranquility of the Azerbaijani people and state. He wished families happiness, abundance, and prosperity.
