Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has addressed a congratulatory letter to President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili on the occasion of Georgia's national holiday - Independence Day, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed his personal congratulations and those of the Azerbaijani people to the Georgian President and the people of Georgia. He highlighted the deep-rooted friendship between Azerbaijan and Georgia, emphasizing the mutual respect and trust that have developed over centuries between the neighboring countries.
President Aliyev noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations and appreciated the outcomes of his recent state visit to Georgia. He recalled the warm hospitality and the productive meetings held during the visit, which he described as being conducted in an atmosphere of mutual understanding and sincerity.
He further elaborated on the strength of the political relations between Azerbaijan and Georgia, pointing out how the active high-level dialogue provides opportunities for further cooperation. President Aliyev expressed confidence in the continued strengthening and expansion of the strategic partnership between the two countries, which he believes is built on solid foundations and mutual interests.
In his letter, President Aliyev also extended his best wishes for robust health, happiness, and success to President Kavelashvili, along with peace and prosperity to the people of Georgia.
