Baku: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has addressed a congratulatory letter to President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, marking the national holiday of Somalia, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev expressed sincere congratulations to President Mohamud and the Somali people on behalf of himself and the people of Azerbaijan. He highlighted the developing and expanding relations between Azerbaijan and Somalia, which are grounded in friendship and mutual respect. President Aliyev expressed confidence in the continued joint efforts to strengthen interstate relations, fully utilize the potential of cooperation, and broaden the partnership between the two nations.

In his letter, President Aliyev conveyed his best wishes to President Mohamud and extended wishes for lasting peace and prosperity to the people of Somalia on this significant occasion.
